Krzysztof (Kristof) Franek founded Open-E in 1998, and has been serving as Open-E's CEO since. Krzysztof is a widely recognized expert on the storage market, and has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry in various sales & managerial leadership positions. Kristof lead OEM sales at Logitech Germany, served as one of the top sales producers at 3ware/AMCC and Kenwood Technologies. Prior to Open-E Kristof was General Manager at Aztech Systems GmbH, a publicly listed East Asian manufacturer of multimedia PC components. Krzysztof is an engineer by training, and received his Master of Engineering degree from the University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

Janusz Bak joined Open-E in 1999, and has been serving as Open-E's CTO since. Janusz has over 20 years of deep software engineering experience, and is a recognized expert on storage technologies. Before Open-E, Janusz headed up German support operations at Aztech Systems, a publicly listed East Asian manufacturer of multimedia PC components. Prior to Aztech, Janusz developed the service and support function of Mega, a Polish IT systems house. Janusz is an engineer by training, and received his Master of Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

Scott Maxwell is the founder and Senior Managing Director of OpenView Venture Partners. Prior to OpenView, Scott was at Insight Venture Partners, having joined Insight in 2000 as the Chief Operating Officer and a Managing Director. Previous to Insight, Scott was a Partner at Putnam Investments, a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers, and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Scott graduated from M.I.T. with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Sigma Xi) and an MBA from the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management. He has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

George Roberts is a Venture Partner at OpenView Venture Partners and a former member of the executive management team at Oracle, with over 25 years of deep management experience in the software industry. Since 2003, George has been making private investments and serving as a board member of several fast growing venture capital funded software companies including ScriptLogic Corporation, Fieldglass Inc, and Informance International. George spent 13 years at Oracle Corporation, most recently having served as EVP of North American Sales. While at Oracle, George was responsible for over $1 billion in revenue and over 2,000 employees, reporting directly to the company's CEO and Chairman, Larry Ellison. George graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Marketing & Finance.
