TIM Company was awarded with an Intel prize for sales growth of Data Storage Systems

St. Petersburg, Russia, April 21, 2008. During the Intel Solutions Summit (ISS) partner’s conference, which was held in Rome 14-16 of April 2008, TIM Company was awarded with an Intel’s honorary prize for Revenue growth in new businesses by driving storage sales through Open-E software stack localization.

The Intel Solutions Summit conference is held yearly and is of prime importance for the members of the Intel Premier Provider program. This event allows partners to acquire further information on the marketing conceptions and strategies of Intel’s programs. During this event, Intel Corporation shares its experience with its partners, and presents the resellers with resources and means for the development and expansion of their business. As part of the ISS summit, an exclusive exposition of the partner’s achievements is held; on this exposition, the program’s members get to present their state-of-the art, innovative solutions, based on Intel technologies. In addition, at the ISS, the members get to hear the performances of leading experts from the Intel Corporation and participate in trainings. Also, the members are given the opportunity to establish new business connections.

This year, 2008, the ISS conference was held at the Marriott Hotel in Rome from the 14th to the 16th of April. This hotel is located in the center of a beautiful Mediterranean park eight hectares wide, with an amazing view of the picturesque hills, surrounding The Eternal City, and fits perfectly into Rome’s landscape. At the conference, representatives of the Intel Corporation shared the plans and strategies of their company. Around 500 members of the EMEA region (including about a hundred representatives from integrator-companies from Russia and CIS countries) were given the opportunity to meet with the Intel Corporation management, intermingle with representatives from other companies and business fields, establish new business connections, receive additional information about new technologies and share their own innovative solutions.

A separate regional session was held by Mr. Michael Chaika, Sales director for Intel Russia, during which companies from Russia and CIS countries were awarded for their achievements in promoting Intel products. TIM Company was awarded with an honorable prize for Revenue growth in new businesses by driving storage sales through Open-E software stack localization. The prize is an engraved disk sealed upon a glass frame, and inside the frame is a metal block, from which the famous Intel processors are made of.

As the engraving on the prize itself states, our company’s achievement is not only in increasing the Intel data storage systems sales, but also in the tremendous work of translating the Open-E software to Russian. As of now, the Russian speaking users can “become acquainted” with this wonderful software product, in their own native language. The entire necessary user’s documentation, related to this product, is being gradually translated to Russian as well. On top of it all, the Russian version of the Open-E website is already up and running, allowing Russian users to receive useful information and to purchase Intel products for the realization of state-of-the-art storage solutions.
