Dear Open-E Customer or Partner,
Managing
an Open-E installation requires console access for a number of reasons.
For example some Open-E DSS V6 operations are limited to only be
executed at the console. This includes some diagnostics and operations
that can potentially remove data. But many customers like to run
systems in a 'headless' mode, especially in larger or remote IT
installations. It is possible to use a feature in Open-E DSS to
remotely access console functions.
We
will be running another of our informative webinars to show you how the
Remote Console Access feature is set up and used in Open-E DSS V6.
Please join us for this interesting and useful presentation:
Topics:
• The importance of setting up Remote Console Access
• Enabling Open-E DSS V6 Remote Console Access
• Configuring the PuTTY utility to connect to Open-E
DSS V6
• Authenticating
with the Default Username and Assigned Passwords
• Troubleshooting Remote Console Access
