Effective November 1st, 2024

We are writing to inform you about an important announcement regarding the future of Open-E DSS V7. After more than a decade of providing reliable and secure data storage solutions, we have decided to discontinue Open-E DSS V7 and focus on our ZFS-based Open-E JovianDSS product, which offers superior performance, reliability, and scalability.

This means that Open-E DSS V7 will reach its end of life (EOL) on November 1st, 2024. After this date, the product's licenses will not be available for purchase anymore, and Open-E will stop providing software updates or support for this product.

Important Dates to Follow

We want to make this transition as smooth and easy as possible for you. That's why we have prepared some important dates and information for you:

• Q4, 2023: In Q4 2023 there will be the last Open-E DSS V7 software update, Up75. After that, no further major updates will be provided.
• October 31th, 2024: This will be the last order date (LOD) for Open-E DSS V7 licenses and support renewals. After this date, you cannot purchase or renew any licenses or support contracts for Open-E DSS V7.
• November 1st, 2024: This will be the end of life (EOL) date for Open-E DSS V7. You can use your existing licenses and support contracts until they expire, but you cannot extend them.
