In a hyperconvergence environment all elements of the storage, compute and network components are optimized to work together on a single commodity appliance from a single vendor. The term is a neologism of Converged infrastructure.

Source: Wikipedia

Hyper-converged storage systems are nowadays getting more and more attention because of their great number of benefits. As hyper-converged infrastructures are now being chosen more commonly than traditional storage products, Open-E decided to join the group of IT pioneers with the Open-E JovianDSS Software Defined Storage as an element of a hyper-converged infrastucture, to meet the growing demands of the market.

The term “hyper-convergence” was first defined in 2012 by Taneja group, for a set of elements like storage, networking, compute, server virtualization, backup to disk, or cloud aggregated into one shared resource with hypervisor technology by means of a modular scale-out approach.

Now, Open-E users can easily build a hyper-converged HA infrastructure with Open-E JovianDSS as Virtual Storage Appliance and VMware, thanks to which you will provide your data center with great flexibility, simplified data protection, great workload mobility, cost efficiency, higher levels of availability, as well as reduced storage bandwidth and IOPS requiremens.

Webinar: Building a hyper-converged HA infrastructure with Open-E JovianDSS VSA and VMware

Missed our webinar?
