Open-E DSS V7 Lite is a free version of our award-winning storage application Open-E DSS V7. The Lite version delivers basic functions of our fully featured NAS/SAN software platform. With DSS V7 Lite you are able to manage up to 2TB of storage capacity and if needed additional capacity may be purchased. As a free product it is offered without technical support, but users are encouraged to help each other through the Open-E Forum or to purchase a support license. Upgrade to Open-E DSS V7

After entering an Upgrade License Key into your Open-E DSS V7 Lite, the product will become a fully functional Open-E DSS V7, although the storage capacity will remain the same. For example, in case of a standard Open-E DSS V7 Lite 2TB installation you will receive an Open-E DSS V7 2TB and if DSS V7 Lite was previously upgraded to higher capacities, these capacities will be supported in the full version after the upgrade. Only one reboot is required, thus minimizing downtime, administration overhead and total costs of ownership (TCO).


After the upgrade all features will be available, including:
