Open-E, a leading developer of data storage software, has won the DCS Awards 2023 in the Data Centre ICT Storage Innovation of the Year category. The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London St Pauls on 25th May 2023.
Open-E received the award for its Open-E JovianDSS Up29r2 software update, which introduced several innovative features such as support for the ATTO FastFrame N312 card, RDMA support, Self-Encrypting Drives support, enhanced data integrity and more. The update also improved the performance, reliability and security of data storage solutions based on Open-E JovianDSS.
Open-E JovianDSS is a ZFS- and Linux-based Data Storage Software designed especially for enterprise-sized Software Defined Storage environments. With its features, the product ensures the highest data reliability and integrity for optimal data protection and recovery.
The DCS Awards are designed to reward the product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in the data centre arena. The DCS Awards recognise the achievements of the vendors and their business partners alike and this year encompassed a wide range of both facilities and information technology award categories.
The award was accepted by Krzysztof Franek, CEO and President of Open-E, who thanked the voters and supporters for their trust and loyalty:
“I would like to express my gratitude to our customers, partners, and Open-E’s employees for their trust, loyalty, and support. You are the driving force behind our success and innovation!” - wrote in his social media post after the ceremony.
The award ceremony was attended by hundreds of industry professionals and experts, who celebrated the achievements and innovations of the data centre sector. The winners were selected by a public vote, which received over 100,000 votes from readers of the Digitalisation World stable of publications. The ceremony also featured a charity raffle, which raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
