Upgrade information

We offer you to upgrade your existing Open-E DSS V6 or DSS V6 Lite license to the full Open-E DSS V7 to use new and enhanced features such as: new improved GUI with status icons and improved iSCSI Failover configuration , increased number of supported CPUs, and iSCSI Failover Active-Active Ready (separately purchased license key). When upgrading from Open-E DSS V6 to V7, the whole capacity must be upgraded including all storage extensions. Example: Open-E DSS V6 8TB + 2TB Storage extension = upgrade to Open-E DSS V7 for 10TB. Please remember that Open-E DSS V7 does not support NAS (NFS) Failover. In case you’re using the NAS (NFS) Failover with Open-E DSS V6, do not upgrade.

The Open-E Data Storage Software V6 (DSS V6) is a unified file and block storage management operating system (OS) that provides Network Attached Storage (NAS), iSCSI, InfiniBand and Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) functionality.

This product contains a one year free of charge BASIC Support.
