Alamy Ltd is an online photo agency for stock photos, videos and live news with over 30,000 individual photographers and 600 picture agencies registered worldwide that contribute to the image database. Every day about 30,000 new pictures are added to their collection and still their website remains one of the fastest in the market.

German Drinking Water Supplier Hochsauerlandwasser Consolidates Storage Environment

Open-E, Inc., a developer of storage software used for building and managing NAS and SAN storage environments, introduced a new customer case in cooperation with German partner IT-Schulte.Hochsauerlandwasser GmbH, a joint communal drinking water supplier for the German cities Meschede, Olsberg and Bestwig, manages both drinking water supply and sewerage for about 59,400 citizens in a service area of approx. 400 km2. As the company's existing storage network was already six years old and not secured against downtimes, they assigned the project to their long-time partner IT-Schulte who suggested implementing a scalable HA cluster environment.

Logistics provider DOM Kurier GmbH from Germany was looking to renew their existing IT infrastructure with a comprehensive solution that required a significant increase in performance and storage capacity. Also, the whole environment should be easy to scale and migrate to meet future demands.
