ES-8700 storage servers from EUROstor Gmbh are based upon Open-E DSS V7 software and they provide NAS and iSCSI volumes, optionally FC volumes, online. As of now the servers will use the latest Intel technology with the codename Haswell, currently as a single processor system with E3 Quad Xeon processors, and soon as a dual processor solution. This technology is characterized by high processor performance with low power consumption at the same time. The mainboards are equipped with USB 3.0 interface.
