Wir benutzen nunmehr seit 2007 Produkte der Firma Open-E. Angefangen mit Open-E DSS als iSCSI-virtuelle Bibliothek für unsere Backup Software bis hin zu Open-E DSS V6 als NFS Storage Repository für unsere virtuellen Server. Performance-mäßig braucht sich Open-E in keiner Weise hinter größeren Storage-Herstellern, die ein Mehrfaches teurer sind, zu verstecken. Alle Systeme, die wir benutzen, laufen sehr stabil und zuverlässig. Zum Support kann ich leider nichts sagen, da die Systeme so gut laufen und einfach aufgebaut sind, dass wir bis jetzt keinen Support in Anspruch nehmen mussten.
Didn't even have time to drink my coffee while it installed – it was that quick. Was expecting to
use my new sleeping bag (as per all Windows installations) but that wasn't needed. The
sleeping bag is now being used by my cat.

I used Open-E ISCSI-R3 before switching to Open-E DSS V6 and I am totally satisfied with the product. I have a SAN of 2 units of 5To and one unit of 2To. The support is perfect, they know how to explain and resolve the problems quickly and remotely. The product is simple of use and has most of the characteristics of a more expensive product. I recommend and shall continue to rely on Open-E.

Seit über einem Jahr haben wir in unserem Labor für Informationstechnologie die Open-E Lösung in Verbindung mit Virtualisierungsumgebungen im Einsatz. Open-E did a great job in getting the revision completed and available. We
brought a system with us to Michigan and we were able to OEM the new
Disk-on-Modules. With the updates. Everything worked as planned and we went
from goats to heroes in an hour, on site. It's great to have things go
smoothly even though the road to completion was bumpy, it happened.
