The NWÜ GmbH & Co. KG is a company that offers an efficient, cross-industry safe solution for connecting alarm and IoT technology and which operates a VDS 3138-certified emergency call and service center (NSL). Due to the complex portfolio of services and thus gathering enormous amounts of data, NWÜ Security required a failure-resistant, highly available and secure data storage solution. The main challenge to be overcome by the security provider was the responsiveness of the control center, which mainly provides mission-critical security and service. Being satisfied with Open-E software products they have decided to transfer to Open-E DSS V7.

IMP Bautest AG is a private institute for materials science, construction advisory services and analytics. An area of business that is of growing importance to IMP Bautest is road condition assessments on behalf of municipalities and property developers. The company has specifically developed the mobile data acquisition system I.R.I.S., which is used in minibuses packed with high-resolution cameras, a 360-degree laser and additional laser measuring devices. With the old storage solution, downloading the data could take even several days. Publishing house centralizes virtual storage environment with Open-E JovianDSS

For its growing amount of data, Dähne publishing had been using an eight year old virtualized environment based on Open-E DSS V6. It was time to look for a new solution. The project of developing a new storage concept was handed over to Open-E Platinum Partner and storage specialist Rausch Netzwerktechnik who presented a new concept consisting of a centralized virtual environment with 10Gbit RJ45 – this time based on servers of their own brand Sasquatch with the ZFS-based storage software JovianDSS by Open-E.
