Introduction
Seagate® Exos® X18 is an enterprise drive, designed for maximum storage capacity and the highest rack-space efficiency. The drive provides password protection and AES-256 hardware encryption (SED / Self-Encrypting Drive feature). The following applications were considered during the Open-E certification process:

Validation was performed for both the Single node (functional tests) and HA Non-Shared Storage Cluster (functional and performance tests) configurations.

Random Read and Write Performance
In order to be able to properly interpret the results acquired from the compatibility tests of the Seagate® Exos® X18 drive while it was used as a data storage device for Open-E JovianDSS, we would like to illustrate the performance results of random writes (Chart 1) and reads (Chart2).
Based on the results illustrated, we can state that the device is fully compatible with Open-E JovianDSS in cluster configurations and will improve the read and write performance of your system.
