Die IMP Bautest AG ist ein privates Institut für Materialwissenschaften, Bauberatung und Analytik. Das Unternehmen hat speziell dafür das mobile Datenerfassungssystem I.R.I.S. entwickelt, das in Kleinbussen mit hochauflösenden Kameras, einem360-Grad-Laser und zusätzlichen Lasermessgeräten eingesetzt wird. Mit der alten Storage-Lösung konnte das Herunterladen der Daten sogar mehrere Tage dauern. Letztendlich wurde die Entscheidung zugunsten Open-E getroffen. Open-E JovianDSS erwies sich als die optimale Lösung, da es sowohl in Bezug auf Hardwarekompatibilität als auch auf die Anbindung des Speichers an virtuelle Umgebungen sehr flexibel ist.
